Christian Audigier says that the theme of his Spring 2008 collection shown at LA’s Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week on Tuesday afternoon is “La Vie en Rose,” but a better moniker might be “Trashy French Vamp,” or even “Flashdance on Acid,” based on the styles he sent down the black-carpet-and-glitter runway.

The men fared better than the women in the Audigier show; they mostly wore his signature wildly patterned oversize hoodies, all embellished with the designer’s name and assorted other motifs, usually executed in glittery crystals, studding, and embroidery. Most were paired with jeans, encrusted with Audigier’s huge signature across the backside, again done in glitter, sometimes paired with a giant skull, other times with similar tattoo-inspired motifs. There was a military bent to many of the men’s styles, too; the first male model even wore a military beret and saluted the photographers at the end of the runway. Vests were big, too, and long, slouchy cutoff pants added a street gang vibe.

To make sure the women in the audience (including Brandy, Bai Ling, and chart-topping singer Bettina) got a little eye candy, the designer sent a few male models out wearing nothing but a skimpy pair of camouflage underwear, then added a variation of hooded superhero capes worn over the undies, unzipped for effect at runway’s end. One was but that skin show was nothing to what Christian Audigier presented on the women. There was the white micro-mini tee-shirt dress, worn over tan panties, garter belt, and sheer stockings ; the black bra, garter belt, and sheer stockings worn with a wide-open olive-toned raincoat; skin-tight patterned gold leggings worn with a slouchy, off-the-shoulder patterned tee (shades of “Flashdance” and Eighties style there); and a black bra, paired with a black feather boa, and a see-through pair of tan knickers worn over black panties. Hooker chic, indeed, and the sort of streetwear that sends a working-girl message.

Audigier’s capper, a series of looks that combined completely sheer tulle skirts in bright colors of pink, green and electric blue displaying the panties and garters underneath, paired with hoodies and matching berets, are an evening look that isn’t likely to make it to any Hollywood red carpets.
But as David Hasselhoff, who brought his teenage daughter Hayley to see the collection, commented to Audigier after the show, “I liked it; the girls looked great!” No word on whether he’ll let his girl show her Audigier underwear in public, however.

The entire process is more precise and thorough than the alternative at-home dry cleaning methods. You get what you pay for. Speaking of which, the cost of professional dry cleaning is a major drawback. It’s expensive, with prices ranging from nearly four dollars to over twenty dollars, depending on the size of the garment, the fabric and the amount of treatment needed.

A little known fact about the process of professional dry cleaning is that the chemical perchloroethylene poses health risks to both the people handling the garments while they are being cleaned, and the customers who wear the clothes afterward.

Home dry-cleaning is a cheaper alternative. It costs less than fifty cents per garment to dry clean at home if everything is done correctly. It also freshens and removes wrinkles in one simple process without the use of harmful chemicals. A hair cut really defines a big part of your image. I remember my little brother always strived to have the coolest hair cut around. There are countless of cool hair cuts, and if you can see I even had to make up names for the looks my brother had. My brother said he would like to copy German soccer team player, Bastian Schweinsteiger, but he’s never actually got to copy it as good.

But the coolness of a hair style really depends on the image you want to express. For example, a completely shaved head doesn’t suit most people, or at least it certainly didn’t work for my brother. I’d say that the classical cool hair cuts for men are spiky hair, long hair and small Mohawks.

But there are cool styles for different kind of men. For teenagers the above mentioned is perfectly good, but for guys a little bit older there are different styles. A guy that always seems to have a cool hair do is David Beckham, so I would recommend you to keep an eye out for him because he always seems to have that good looking hair we women love so much! Another famous personality that has always had a great hair cut, one of my favorites, is James Bond. No matter which actor represents him, James Bond will always have a great looking hair style.

But no matter who, or which style you choose to have, a cool hair cut style can only look cool if it’s the right one for you. It all depends on your facial shape, hair color ?which is a huge factor is defining which is cool and which is not ? and confidence. An excellent tip is to bring a picture of the style you want to your hairdresser and ask him if it fits your or which fits you.

The founding fathers had an idea for a country and a way to govern the people, by the people and for the people, but does this mean that the government has the right to tell us we can not do something because it is bad for us.

In Americas 230 year history the government seems to have forgotten that there job is to run the government as the people see as best and not the government telling the people what is best for them.

The most recent example is the Internet gambling Ban signed into law last week by President Bush. The bill makes it illegal for banks and credit card companies to transfer money to casinos for the purpose of wagering on sports or games of chance, like roulette, blackjack and poker.

These games are harmlessly enjoyed regularly by millions of Americans everyday, but some people become addicted to these games so the government is telling all of its citizens that no one is allowed to play these games in an online casino.

This is not the first case of the government going against the wishes of the people, in the early 1900′s the government decided that the consumption of Alcohol should be banned, because some people were developing health and mental problems related to drinking too much. So rather then educating the people on the ill effects of prolonged Alcohol abuse the American government banned Alcohol.

But instead of reducing the consumption of Alcoholic beverages it increased, and because the government was not allowing the production or importing of Alcohol, organized grime got into the moonshine business, and eventually the Government saw the error of their decision and repealed the law.

Another great example of a failed policy to protect the people is the war on drugs that the government has been aging since the early 1980′s Billions of tax dollars a year goes into the war on drugs, but what are the results?

The price of drugs has risen, and to support their habits many drug addicts have had to commit acts of robbery and murder to get their drugs.

The American prisons are packed full of people whose only crime was possession of these illegal drugs.

Instead of being an industry that is regulated and controlled you have people selling these drugs to kids in school playgrounds, and shooting each other to protect their territory.

Had the government decided not to criminalize drugs but make it a heavily controlled industry, they could use the tax money for social programs like schools ad to give Americans universal health care.

Please do not misunderstand me I am not in favor for legalizing hard drugs, but the current system is not working at all, but I am all in favor for legalizing online casino gambling.

If I choose to play some hands of blackjack or poker from the comfort of my home what rights does the government have to tell me not to, and what sense does it make that I can not play in a casino over the internet, but I can drive down the street to the local casino and play there.

To enforce this ban millions if not billions of dollars of software and computer hardware will be needed to monitor all of the banks transactions and that money will come from taxes instead of the government taxing online casinos or even having all the online casinos government controlled then they get all the profits to be used to improve the lives of the American citizens, millions of which are bellow the poverty line if not homeless.

The American government needs to start re-thinking its policy of treating its citizens like small children, or the American people need to demand a new government.
